In practical storage scenarios, it is essential to select airtight, corrosion-resistant containers-such as glass bottles, aluminum tins, or high-density plastic drums-and to equip them with reliable lids or sealing films to minimize the ingress of air and moisture. For lipid-based systems containing functional additives, sealing performance is of particular importance; active ingredients-such as vitamins and botanical extracts-are sensitive to light and oxygen, and inadequate sealing can easily lead to their degradation, thereby compromising the therapeutic efficacy of the lip balm.
Furthermore, sealing performance is directly linked to the safety of the raw materials during use. Effective sealing prevents the entry of dust, microorganisms, and impurities, thereby averting contamination and quality deterioration. During the production and storage phases, these measures are typically combined with low-temperature, light-shielded storage and the practice of portioning materials into smaller batches for use, further enhancing sealing effectiveness and ensuring that lip balm raw materials remain in optimal condition throughout their entire lifecycle.
