Particular attention must be paid to temperature control when storing lip gloss raw materials. Oil- and wax-based ingredients should be stored in a dry environment at room temperature, away from light. This prevents high temperatures from causing oxidation or melting, while also avoiding excessive hardening at low temperatures, which could hinder subsequent processing. Generally, it is recommended to maintain a storage temperature between 15°C and 25°C.

Moisture Control and Sealing
Raw materials-particularly powders and natural waxes-are prone to absorbing moisture or reacting with atmospheric oxygen. Therefore, they must be stored in airtight containers to minimize air exposure. Furthermore, storage in humid environments must be avoided to prevent clumping, mold growth, or product degradation. Oils containing antioxidants should also be protected from prolonged exposure to air.

Protection from Light and Contamination
Many pigments and oils are photosensitive; prolonged exposure to light can lead to discoloration or a decline in performance. Consequently, these materials should be kept in light-blocking containers or stored within light-shielded cabinets. Additionally, the storage area must be kept clean to prevent contamination by dust or microorganisms. When necessary, materials may be subdivided into smaller batches for use, thereby ensuring the freshness and safety of the ingredients each time they are accessed.
